Description In late spring there is a country road near my studio where wild blue lupine grows between the road and the encroaching forest. These delicate flowers are visited by rare butterflies and often the blue glows for a mile or more on both sides of the road. Here and there a patch of wild phlox blooms amid the lupine. It is a peaceful place to walk, and paint.
